Painting with Water Colors

Service Description

Private art lesson located in Kissinger Art Studio. One on one session with professional art instructor, Paige Kissinger. One hour studio time. What is water color? Water color is a painting compound using water-soluble pigments that are transparent or opaque. Water color painting is known for its inherent delicacy and subtlety because water color art is all about the thin washes and transparent color. During your private session, we will work on painting techniques that create effects. These include washes, working wet in wet and wet on dry, lifting out, masking out for highlights, and dozens of other techniques to achieve textural effects. As a student your focus will be on letting go and finding balance between controlling and freeing this painting medium. (*New students please visit the online shop to purchase the $25 art supplies package. Supplies will cover 6 weeks of class.) Return Policy-Nonrefundable.
