Service Description

Private art lesson located in Kissinger Art Studio. One on one session with professional art instructor, Paige Kissinger. One hour studio time. What is hand building clay? "Handbuilding" is working with clay by hand using only simple tools, not the pottery wheel. Before potters had the wheel, they were creating beautiful pots and clay forms using clay, their hands, fingers, and basic hand tools. The three most common forms of creating hand built pots: pinchpot, coiling and slab techniques. Once you master hand building techniques it opens a world of artistic possibilities. (*New students please visit the online shop to purchase the $25 art supplies package. Supplies will cover 6 weeks of class.) Return Policy-Nonrefundable.
